Location: based in Galicia, Spain but originally from Istanbul

Mornings or evenings: mornings!

Chocolate or Vanille: bitter chocolate

Your happy place: being on the way, travelling to unknown places and definitely when I’m at the beach

About Brand:

Name comes from: It’’s a long story, but I will try to keep it short as possible. “casa” is home in latin languages, and casacecu is established in Spain, where is my home now. “cecu” has a more complicated story. There is an adult / child book by Umberto Eco and Eugenio Carmi called “The Gnomos of the Gnu”, Gnu is an another planet in space and “cecu” is the Turkish translation of Gnu. Gnu’s / Cecu’s residents perspective is bright in a lot of terms…gives me hope. Would give you more, everybody needs to get this book and read it! It is for our future in this world!

Inspired by: the world we live in, with it’s every tiny piece

Why you started: started ceramics with the boredom in Istanbul, created casacecu with boredom during covid quarantine in Spain

Where you are heading: I like being on the way with my brand as well ☺

Explain to your grandma what you do: my grandma seeded all the creative mind that I have, if I didn’t grow up with her I wouldn’t be able to create with my hands. But to all the grandmothers out there, my aim is to make functional and sculptural objects by clay to build happiness people’s soul and smile on people’s faces.

About Life:

Bored: with stress

Feel like dancing if: I eat good food!

Hungry for: exploring the unknown

Excited when: being part of other’s casual moments

Quote: “Would you mind not discovering us?” It is from the book where casacecu’s name comes from…The Gnomes of Gnu.
